Ben Accomando is a clinical and forensic psychologist with significant and diversified education, training, and experience. In this book, he outlines a list of problems and possible solutions that he dealt with in his practice for the past 42 years as a professional. Trained as a clinical, School, and Community psychologist, he worked as a School psychologist, as a Director of Mental Health Services at S.U.N.Y, was an adjunct faculty staff at Hofstra U., was CEO and director of a multi-site, private, group practice for over 20 years. His professional work includes Forensic Services, such as child custody, personal injury, IMEs, and Veteran’s disability evaluations. Clinical Services, like domestic violence, divorce counseling, marital therapy, anxiety and depression, sexual abuse. Other areas of Specialty, including career matching assessments, pre-hiring evaluations & testing, executive coaching, romantic relationships training, clinical supervision, marketing/ managing a business, and divorce mediation.
Dr. Ben earned a Ph.D. In 1979, he is permanently licensed as a New York State School psychologist, is licensed in New York and Florida, has had postdoctoral training in marital and family systems theory, Advanced training in forensic psychology, and formal training in divorce mediation. His private center was credentialed by the NYS Dept. of ED. To train doctoral-level students completing the clinical year of internship and did so for many years.
